Wenceslao Barrot slams 3 HR

TEXAS - Hitting a homerun is fine, but hitting three
of them in one game is something special. Arizona's
catcher Wenceslao Barrot accomplished
that feat in a 15-7 win over Texas. His 1st blast,
a solo homerun off Arthur Abellan
in the 1st inning, landed an estimated 397 feet from
home plate. A 403 foot drive to left-center marked
his 2nd bomb, a two-run homerun off Edmundo
Guerrero in the 3rd inning. A pitch from Luis
Chao in the 5th inning left his bat for a solo
homerun, landing 415 feet from home plate in left-center.
Wenceslao collected 5 hits in 6 trips to the plate,
doubling once, scoring FOUR runs and collecting 4 RBI.
In 1196 career at bats, he has hit 31 homeruns and
collected 159 RBI.
